Known for its high precision watch making technique, the century old brand Chopard is putting up an bold fashioned chronograph, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph. This series maintains marvelous timekeeping function while dragging in the audacious aesthtic concept.
The series is named after the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique vintage vehicle race (a race that is held by vintage vehicle lovers every two years, which evokes over 200 vintage vehicles from specially America, Britain, Germany, France and Italy, many famous brands like Bugatti, Delage and Alfa Romeo etc involved). As a partner of that race, Chopard specially proposed a watch series, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph series.
Aesthetically, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph features bold design. Evaluated in 42.5mm, the watch case is 14.9mm thick. There are two materials for the watch case. One is the refined steel while the other is 18k rose gold. At the bottom of the case is graved with the marks of GPMH and Automobile Club de Monaco. With the distinguishable silver color, the dail boasts black, orange or blue marking circle. As the bezel has blue, silver or orange marking circle, the dial has a good matching color for it. It is even more appealing with a real leather or refined stainless steel strap. The whole watch is such a marvelous piece.
Technically, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph is equipped with incredible functions. Driven by a mechanical self-winding mechanism, the watch could hold power to 48 hours. It has obtained the COSC certification. The hour, minute and date are all displayed in the main dial with a sub-dial at 9 indicating the second hand. Besides the second hand showcase, there are the 30 minutes and 12 hours timekeeping dial. Coated with superluminova, the markings and pointers are visible even at the dark night. This is powerful and thoughtful.
